On Tuesday 6th May we held our first ever SET Staff Awards and what a night it was! The Head Office atrium was filled with a candle-lit grazing table of delicious food and the Conference Room adorned in glittering black and gold foil curtains and balloons! The stage set … just the winners, accompanied by their Headteacher and Chair of Academy Council, to arrive!
We celebrated the outstanding achievements of 64 of our wonderful colleagues across the Trust, it was humbling and inspirational to hear about the lengths they go to, day-in-day-out to ensure the very best for our students! Everyone, without exception, said they had a brilliant time and really appreciated not only being recognised for their own work, but being able to hear about the work of their colleagues in other SET schools.
Our Chair of Trustees, Andrew Meehan, thanked all colleagues in the Trust and commented in his opening remarks how important the work of every person in a school is to the lives of the young people we work with – everyone has that special member of staff they remember from school and for SET students, those people are making these memories right now.
Our Interim CEO, Kerry Inscker welcomed everyone and made special mention of how our award winners had all said “I am just doing my job” and “it’s really team-work” – but that on this night, they needed to be proud of themselves and recognise the difference they are making individually.
We congratulate all of our winners and those nominated for awards right across our schools! Well done everyone!
