Shaw Education Trust Students to Unveil Debut Art Exhibition: 'Through the Frame'
Excitement brews as a group of Staffordshire school students prepares to unveil their inaugural contemporary art exhibition next month. The showcase, titled 'Through the Frame,' will spotlight limited edition works by renowned artists such as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, and David Hockney, among others.
Featured prominently in Staffordshire Living Magazine (View Here) and set to grace the screens of BBC Midlands Today (Tuesday 6th February), this ground breaking exhibition marks a significant milestone for students from the Shaw Education Trust. Spearheaded by Newcastle-under-Lyme’s Brampton Museum, 'Through the Frame' promises a captivating journey into the realm of contemporary art.
The exhibition, running from February 10th to April 14th, invites patrons to explore the intricate narratives woven into each piece. Beyond the artworks themselves, 'Through the Frame' showcases the art packaging, highlighting the initial impact and allure of each creation. This unique perspective celebrates the essence of the exhibition, curated by the visionary 'Young Curators' from Madeley School.
'Through the Frame' represents the culmination of six months of meticulous planning and collaboration. Key Stage 3 and 4 students from Madeley School, alongside art dealer and former Madeley pupil Dr. Jack Roberts, have joined forces with The Brampton Museum to bring this visionary project to fruition.
The brainchild of Madeley School’s Faculty Leader of Performance and Creativity, Katie Leath, and Dr. Roberts, the Young Curators Art Project stands as a testament to innovation and creative expression. Driven by their shared passion for the arts, Katie and Dr. Roberts envisioned an opportunity for students to immerse themselves in the world of contemporary art, igniting their imaginations and nurturing their artistic talents.
As the anticipation mounts and the countdown to February 10th begins, we invite you to join us on this extraordinary journey 'Through the Frame.' Witness the creativity, passion, and dedication of Staffordshire's young artists as they unveil their unique perspectives to the world.
