Madeley High School has succeeded with the highest percentage of year 11 students achieving grade 5 or above for Mathematics GCSE in 2017 across Staffordshire. Mr Nixon, Principal commented: “The class of 2017 have achieved a set of remarkable results, given the amount of national change to the exam system, subject content, grading and the general uncertainty. It is a testimony to the talent and hard work of students and staff and the support of parents.”

I would also like to congratulate the class of 2017 on achieving these results and wish them every success in the future.”
Madeley High School’s Mathematics success does not end there as Madeley also achieved the second highest percentage of year 11 students achieving grade 5 or above in both English (Literature or Language) and Mathematics, compared to mainstream schools in Staffordshire.
