Sandra Mitchell - Executive Headteacher Seabridge Primary School

Sandra has been Headteacher of Seabridge Primary school in Newcastle-under-Lyme since April 2005. It is a large successful Primary school for pupils aged 3-11 with 470 pupils on roll. Prior to her current appointment she was Headteacher of Dove Bank Primary School in Kidsgrove.

Previously she was accredited as a SIP (School Improvement Partner) and supported a number of schools in this role for Staffordshire Local Authority. She is now recognised as a NLE (National Leader of Education) and has successfully supported a number of schools along with the Seabridge Leadership Team and staff.

She is passionate about supporting the next generation of teachers, one of the reasons why Seabridge Primary School became the Legal Entity for the KNSPS (Keele and North Staffordshire Partnership SCITT) partnership of around 70 schools when the initial teacher education provision migrated from Keele University to be school-led. She is committed to ensuring we continue to offer a local high quality teacher education programme that is evidence informed and so continues to work closely with the SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) and Research school team as their Chair of the Strategic Board. She is also a keen supporter of the Chartered College of Teaching.
